*Please note – We are not able to offer live in accommodation and you will most likely need your own transport as public transport can be patchy at weekends and late at night.
Our ideal candidate is someone with tons of experience in hospitality, great personality, the confidence to run a restaurant service and who is looking to take the next step in their career. Alternatively, perhaps you have left hospitality but are looking to come back? You will be supporting our manager in the day to day running of the pub and restaurant which includes rota planning, ordering, managing staff, organising and running functions, cashing up, running restaurant services, liaising between the kitchen and front of house to ensure a smooth running of services, maintaining standards and ensuring all our customers have a brilliant experience at The Old Mill.
We offer a four day week with good rates of pay & tips. We can be flexible with hours but you will be required to work at weekends and evenings.

The Old Mill is currently only open for food from Wednesday to Sunday and this summer we are keen to return to a 7 day offering whilst still allowing our staff a four day week. This means we need more chefs!
We are looking for experienced chefs and those looking to learn. Everything is made from scratch and we do everything from butchery to bakery.
We are serious about our food and you will need to have experience of working in a kitchen producing everything from scratch and have knowledge of classic technique. Our ethos is local, seasonal and Scottish but with imagination and attention to detail.
Our food is creative but rooted in the local Scottish larder and we use quality suppliers and producers. Service is busy, fast and full on so you need to be able to keep your head together.
You will be working a four day week with good rates of pay & tips.
You will be confident and able to deal with customers comfortably and have had plenty of previous experience in a busy restaurant environment. We want everyone who comes to The Old Mill to be made welcome and your experience will enable you to tailor service to all types of customer and event. We encourage our restaurant staff to be chatty and friendly with our customers and this is part of what makes the job enjoyable. You will also be working with a great team and you should enjoy the buzz of busy restaurant service.

Ideally you will have your own personal license and plenty of experience of working in a busy bar. You will be knowledgeable about drinks and trends and be able to talk to customers and help to advise them in their drink’s choices. You will also be relaxed and able to handle situations as they arise, be able to maintain a good atmosphere and have some excellent chat!
