THE OLD MILL ARE PROUD ADVOCATES OF FORAGING FORTNIGHT

Foraging Fortnight is a celebration of Scotland’s natural environment and wild food with a series of events taking place across Fife, Moray, Lanarkshire, Orkney and the Forth Valley and Lomond areas.

Here at the Old Mill Killearn we’ve earned a strong reputation for destination dining – we try to be a popular haunt for locals, and foodies from farther afield. We try to use as much foraged ingredients as possible throughout the year on our seasonal menus and we’ve created some menu specials specifically in support of Foraging Fortnight, available from 31st Aug-15th Sept: a Starter of Tempura battered foraged chanterelles, garlic broth, garden grown nasturtium leaves £7; and a Main: Lamb Rack and pressed shoulder, foraged chanterelles, olives, sunblushed tomatoes, lamb jus £22

On a Thursday night we also do a Steak Night offer that will be accompanied with foraged mushrooms over the next few weeks.
